本系所積極鼓勵研究生參加國內外之相關學術活動及會議,並發表論文,對赴國外參加國際性會議並發表論文之研究生適度之機票補助。能夠參加國際會議一直是研究生的重要磨練機會:一方面因為所有理論傳統以及文本都是以英文為主,論文寫作所使用的語言也都是英文,可以到國外發表論文是一種很重要的經驗,也因為與會學者背景,領域,思考系統均有相當差異,對同一文本產生的問題也大異其趣,對研究生來說也是一種自我挑戰。
在國內外研討會品質參差不齊的狀況下,本系所研究生論文屢獲重要國際會議的接受,不但肯定了本系所同學對學術研究的心血,也為系所開啟了良好投稿風氣,師生能夠互相就主題切入討論。
